Now What? - Applying the Sermon to Life ("A Gracious Ransom for Rebellious Sinners" - Isaiah 1:1-20)

Hello Family,

Celebrating Jesus with you is such a joy!  I hope your hearts were stirred for Him during our worship gathering this past Sunday.  I know my heart was.

Let’s answer a few questions together to continue to grow into Christlikeness.

For the Kids/Students

1.  What is one thing that you learned from the message?  How is what you learned encouraging you this week?

2.  What does it mean to “forsake the Lord?”  We learned from the Scripture that even though we forsake the Lord at times, we still belong to Him and are recipients of His grace.  How does it feel to know that God’s favor is upon your life?

3.  Does knowing that God is gracious towards you compel you to walk in obedience to Him even more?  Why or why not?

4.  God wants us to not walk in sin but instead to repent often.  What have you been repenting of lately?  How has knowing that God is gracious encouraged you in your sin?

For the Adults

1.  How did the Spirit of God minister to you on Sunday through the Word and the message?

2.  How does knowing that God will not abandon you compel you to love Jesus more?  How would you say that you are living intimately w/ God as his child?

3.  Where did you see the gospel in this text?

4.  It is so tempting to forget that we belong to God and that He is our master.  How do you fight against this temptation?  Are you winning?  Why or why not?

5.  God has not left you.  God is not done with you.  God hasn’t quit being your father.  What do these words mean to you right now in the season that you’re living in?

6.  How would you like to make our surrounding community better?  In other words, how is the community that we meet in desolate and how can Jesus use us to make it better?

7.  How do you fight against becoming religious and sacrificial in those seasons when we find our hearts far from God?

8.  Take a moment and read verses 16-20.  What does your heart rejoice in?  What stands out to you?

9.  Who needs this message?  Consider sending a link to them.
