Important Sunday Morning Logistics & Reminders | Wellspring Church

Wellspring Family and Regular Visitors,
As the summer winds down and we begin to settle into our fall routines, we are seeing an increase of regular attendance of our partners, as well as increased attendance of guests checking out Wellspring for the first time and for subsequent visits. As we experience this increased attendance (praise the Lord!), we also want to take some time to review a few things that will enhance our Sunday morning worship experience for partners and visitors alike:
  • Ask God to prepare your heart for worship. As you get ready for Sunday, ask God to prepare your heart to experience Him, to speak through His word, and to encourage your soul through corporate worship. You can also further prepare your heart by joining in on prayer at 9:15 prior to service on Sundays.
  • Let’s do our best to be on time. We’d love to see the sanctuary full with partners and regular guests at least a few minutes prior to the start of service (10 a.m.) Usually, first-time visitors in particular arrive early to get a feel of their surroundings. It would be helpful for partners and regular guests to be there as well to greet them and help them get acclimated.
  • Sit toward the front of the sanctuary. Let’s try to fill up the sanctuary starting at the front. For fire code and safety reasons (i.e. medical emergencies, need to exit quickly), we must keep a clearance for aisles and for the space between the back row of chairs and the A/V table. This means that we must fill up the available seats already in the worship space versus adding seats in the back. We’re growing!
  • Treat the black curtains as if they are walls. Unless you are assigned a specific task that requires you to enter/exit the worship space at the front opening or through the curtains on the side/back (i.e. giving, communion, etc.), please use the aisles to enter/exit/re-enter the worship space. This is vital to ensuring safety; it also minimizes distractions during service.
  • Deliberately engage our visitors. Seek out a new face or someone who has been visiting for the last few weeks and engage them. A warm and genuine interaction can go a long way in showing the love of Christ to our visitors.
We have been blessed as a church and want to continue to be faithful stewards of all that the Lord has given us. We thank you in advance for your prayerful attention in these matters.
